Who we are

Every child deserves a home

We run small residential homes for children and young people aged 6–16. We keep things small so everyone gets the attention they deserve — not just a bed, but a real home.

Whether you're a young person, a parent, or a professional — we're glad you're here.

What drives us

Our values & mission

Why we do this, and the things we won't compromise on.

What we believe

Six things that guide everything

Children come first

Every decision starts with: what's best for this young person?

Relationships are everything

Children heal through safe, trusted relationships. Small teams, consistent people.

Be honest

We're straight with young people, families, and professionals.

Believe in everyone

We hold high hopes for every young person — warmly, patiently.

Keep getting better

We learn from what works and what doesn't. We listen.

Everyone belongs

Everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and like they belong.

"Every young person who comes to us deserves a place where they're known, valued, and genuinely supported to grow."
— The reason we started Roots
Why we exist

Small homes, done properly

The name Roots is intentional. We want every young person to develop roots — belonging, safety, stability — from which they can grow.

We stay small because small is better. We won't grow faster than we can do things properly.
